The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is the professional, educational and trade union body for the country's 47,000 Chartered Physiotherapists, including assistants and students.
The Society is a member-led organisation, governed by the CSP Council. This is made up of elected CSP members and is supported by a system of boards, branches, committees and groups. All of RPC's Physiotherapists are members of Physiofirst. www.physiofirst.org.uk All Physiofirst members are listed on the Physio First website for members of the public and any other organisation seeking to purchase Physiotherapy services to easily locate a local Physiotherapist. Physio First supports Physiotherapists who work in private practice, providing courses, corporate advertising in Yellow Pages and general administrative support.
Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists
Members of AACP are in a unique position to combine acupuncture with other treatment methods, such as:

manipulation
muscle re-education
joint mobilisation
relaxation
neurological rehabilitation
electrotherapy
sports rehabilitation
ergonomic assessments
Chartered physiotherapists are bound by a strict professional and ethical code of practice. The Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) requires its members to undergo a minimum of 80 hours of acupuncture training. Members of AACP are required to keep up with a stated minimum number of hours of continuing professional development each year in order to remain on the register

The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT)
ACPAT members are fully qualified Chartered Physiotherapists (MCSP's) who have also trained in physiotherapy and rehabilitation for animals.
