The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is the professional, educational and trade union body for the country's 47,000 Chartered Physiotherapists, including assistants and students.

The Society is a member-led organisation, governed by the CSP Council. This is made up of elected CSP members and is supported by a system of boards, branches, committees and groups. The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy provides an exceptionally wide range of member services and is also a campaigning organisation, speaking up for physiotherapists and promoting the physiotherapy profession. It aims to;

National Organisation for Physiotherapists in Private Practice

All of RPC's Physiotherapists are members of Physiofirst. www.physiofirst.org.uk All Physiofirst members are listed on the Physio First website for members of the public and any other organisation seeking to purchase Physiotherapy services to easily locate a local Physiotherapist. Physio First supports Physiotherapists who work in private practice, providing courses, corporate advertising in Yellow Pages and general administrative support.

Up & Running is a specialist sports and running store based Nationwide. They have a fully equiped store centrally in Nottingham on Huntingdon Street. Many of us develop aches, pains and overuse injuries from running and in most cases the running shoes play a large part or can be the blame to the cause of the problem. Up & Running stores are all fitted with RAM - Running Analysis Machine. This has been developed by Up & Running, in conjunction with Dartfish (software). All Up & Running staff are skilled in operating the RAM and interpreting RAM data. The RAM enables staff to observe and analyse the key components of a client's running gait and select shoes with the right combination of cushionning and support. Accurate comparisons between running shoes can be made and data is recorded so clients can see the difference for themselves.

Your physiotherapist will often advise you on replacing worn out or unsuitable footwear to ensure you are running in the correct shoes for your needs.
